Getting started
What exactly is Doosra Box?
A hosted Linux desktop you open in your browser. It comes with real Chrome, VS Code, a terminal, and a file manager — plus Claude Code wired into the chat panel so you can ask Claude to drive the same apps you're driving.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Just sign up at app.doosradesk.com and open the workspace. It runs in any modern browser on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPad, and Android.
What's the difference between Ask, Code, and Cowork modes?
Ask is read-only — Claude researches and answers, no file edits. Code auto-accepts file edits so Claude can actually write and modify code. Cowork is full end-to-end — Claude can drive Chrome, run shell commands, deploy things. You can switch modes per chat session.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — there's a mobile shell with a drawer-based chat and a scaled-down "tiny computer in your phone" view of the desktop. There's also a rotate-to-landscape mode that gives you the full desktop UI sideways.
Privacy & security
Can other users see my files?
No. Every account gets its own Linux user and home directory. Filesystem access is enforced at the OS level (DAC), not just in JavaScript. The terminal you open lands in your Linux user, scoped to your home.
Do you train AI on my code?
No. We don't train models on your work, and we don't share your data with anyone except Anthropic (your prompts go to them so Claude can answer — that's it).
Where is my data stored?
In Frankfurt (EU) by default, with Mumbai (IN) coming soon. Your data stays in your chosen region. Enterprise customers can pin to a dedicated region.
Can I export my files?
Yes — the Files panel has a download button on every file, and the universal viewer lets you save PDFs, DOCX, etc. For bulk exports, contact support and we'll provide a tarball.
Billing
What does $20 vs $35 actually get me?
$20/month is one seat. $35/month per seat is for teams up to 5; you also get shareable session links, team presence, and 24-hour priority support. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
How does the free trial work?
14 days, full Team-tier access, no card required. We'll send a reminder before the trial ends. If you don't add billing details, your workspace pauses (your data is preserved for 30 days).
What about Indian customers — can I pay in INR?
Yes. We support UPI, Indian cards, and netbanking via Razorpay. The price is converted from USD at checkout time.
Refunds?
Yes, within 14 days of your first payment, no questions asked. Email hello@doosrabox.com.
Reliability & support
What's your uptime?
We target 99.9% on Starter and Team. Enterprise plans get a contractual SLA with credits for downtime. Status page is at status.doosrabox.com (live soon).
What if I lose internet mid-session?
Your workspace keeps running on the server. When you reconnect, the same Chrome / VS Code / terminal are still there — your in-flight Claude turn picks up where it left off via session resume.
